The site is located at SE Foster Road and SE 90th Street, in the historic Lents Business District. Demolition of existing structures is expected to begin in April. Construction is slated to begin this summer. Completion is scheduled for spring 2002. The $9.6 million project is being partially funded by $3.45 million in tax increment financing by the Portland Development Commission.

The PDC is using a special allocation of general budget funds allocated by the city council in 1997 for the express purpose of revitalizing the Lents commercial area. The site was created when the PDC acquired two separate sites on the block between SE 88th Avenue and 91st Avenue, north of Foster Road.

Lentz Town Center LLC includes Rose Comunity development and Morrison Companies. More information on the partners was not immediately available, but will be added to this article when obtained.
