The new all-glass Orchid Houses will display and augment the facility's extensive orchid collection and conservation efforts. Among the additions will be a natural tropical jungle garden and expansion of the existing tissue culture laboratory that can be viewed by the public. The lab is a major component in the Garden's conservation and propagation program.
Locally based Rabun Hogan Ota & Rasche is designing the expansion. GENOA of Atlanta is the general contractor.
