DENVER-Local developers Mark Brannon and Paul Tamburello have broken ground on a five-story, 24-unit loft project at 1925 W. 32nd Ave. in the popular Highland neighborhood northwest of the CBD.

The $7.2-million Highland Flats III is the third phase by the developers, who head Platte View Development Corp. Tamburello also is the broker-owner of Distinctive Properties LLC, and has sold several large parcels in the area to other developers.

Units range in size from 955 sf to 1,655 sf and carry price tags of $189,000 to $565,000. The average price is $244 per sf. The first phase had gotten under way in 1998, with units then fetching an average of $120 per sf.
