Next, the company's construction services group successfully launched its New York office with more than 75,000 sf worth of build-out and renovation work. Among the assignments are a 24,000-sf build-out for CAN Insurance at 40 Wall St.; a 16,000-sf build-out for MetroNexus at 19 W. 44th St.; a 14,000-sf renovation of Syracuse University's Lubin House; and a 12,000-sf build-out for Jaffee & Asher, a law firm, at 600 3rd Ave. The company is also doing build-outs for Taylor & Clarke Healthcare Group and Riotto & Jones, and some renovation work for Sumitomo.

G&W is also casting is eye at the NYC development/investment market. In its first stab, the company was definitely thinking big: it was one of 30 bidders for the World Trade Center, and lasted in the process until the final cut of four. Expanding beyond its largely suburban home base, "I foresee our emergence in a moderate but growing way in Manhattan," founder/chairman/CEO Stan Gale tells GlobeSt.com. "That's where I see us going."
