The Colonel's anticipates construction will begin within the next few months, and various phases of the complex will be completed within a year or two. The complex would include a coliseum, domed stadium, 117-room hotel, themed restaurant, and a convenience store/gas station. The 11,000-seat, 20,000-sf domed stadium would play host to such activities as Arena football, basketball, hockey, boxing, wrestling and concerts. The 30,000-seat coliseum host major events such as concerts, football, auto and motorcycle racing, and tractor pull.
The complex would be located within 1-1/2 hours of much of Michigan's population as well as that of Toledo, OH, as well as Windsor, Ontario, Canada. No cost estimates or financing sources were available.
