A Casino in Bridgeport Would be A Disaster Says Politico

HARRISON, NY-Connecticut State Senate Majority Leader George Jepsen, speaking at a commercial real estate breakfast on Thursday, said that any proposal to bring Native American gaming to the city of Bridgeport must be defeated.

"It would be the death-knell of a very promising economy," he predicted. He charged that major corporations, already finding it difficult to attract qualified workers due to tight labor supply in the region, would pack up and move away.

Jepsen was a speaker at Insignia/ESG's 2nd Annual Real Estate Forecast Breakfast held at the Westchester Country Club.
