The developer reportedly already has an anchor tenant lined up for the project. Though it isn't naming names, Dakota officials have said it is the corporate division of a large company from the Eastern United States that trains people from other countries on sales and marketing. The company reportedly plans to develop several buildings totaling 90,000 sf by 2003.
Dakota is acting as managing partner for the project. It is one of several entities involved in assembling the mostly vacant parcels north of I-84 on the east and west sides of Ten Mile Road, where a new freeway interchange is planned. The anchor tenancy deal is reportedly tied to a new interchange at Ten Mile Road.
The Idaho Transportation Department has partnered with other developers and large companies on highway projects within the last few years, including Micron Technology and Micron Electronics.
