County Releases 2001 Economic Development Guide

WHITE PLAINS-A new 2001 economic development guide with detailed information about Westchester’s business climate and quality of life is being distributed throughout Westchester County. A 12-page section of charts and graphs depicts the area’s demographics, income and employment levels and real estate activity.

Westchester County government officials relate that the 112-page reference book shows off everything Westchester has to offer — from tourist attractions and parks to colleges and hospitals. It covers transportation services, local and county governments, and the county’s business and economic development projects and programs. Complimentary copies are also available to the public.

“Distributing this book does more than get the word out,” said Westchester County Executive Andy Spano. “It shows how we are all working together to promote economic development. We’re hoping more companies will see the benefits of doing business here and choose to expand in or relocate to Westchester.”
