Brand had held 275 acres for several years, Clay Simpson, the Taylor & Mathis broker who is handling the development, tells GlobeSt.com.

"This property was right in the middle of the development, so it had to be purchased to fill in the tract," Simpson tells GlobeSt.com.

Plans call for 30 acres to be used for office space, 61 acres for residential, and the remainder for industrial development.
