The new facility will include office and lab space for the company, which will use it to develop processes and manufacturing techniques to produce ingredients for medicines at its other worldwide locations. Hovione's US sales and marketing operations will also be based at the facility.
Hovione will join a growing list of pharma-related companies in East Windsor, according to Mayor Janice Mironov. Among them are Neil Labs, which is currently adding a second building; and NexMed, which recently acquired a new facility to make a new pharmaceutical product, pending FDA approval.
