More Bowling Centers Exit Entertainment Scene

KANSAS CITY-Two more alleys are shutting down their lanes, leaving 27 in the market. That's down from an all-time high of 55. Financial reasons and a lease non-renewal are blamed for the most recent closings.

KANSAS CITY-Following a trend of closings, two more bowling centers are no longer a part of the local sports entertainment package. One longtime center, the AMF Antioch Lanes, closed in January and a second, the AMF Ranchmart Lanes, will close next month.

AMF Antioch Lanes, in the Antioch Shopping Center, was a 24-lane house that had been open in the Northland since the mid 1950′s. It was closed for financial reasons.
