Baltimore-based Vertis, Inc. will occupy 52,000 sf on the sixth floor. West suburban Oak Brook-based Looking Glass Networks has leased 30,000 sf of telecom space.
Ed Barnett of Paine Wetzel of Chicago and Ken Walter of Kennedy-Wilson International in Dallas represented Vertis, Inc. David Stefancic of Equis Corp represented Looking Glass. Brad Despot and Paul Fishbein of Amerimar Enterprises represented ownership.
E-port's development team consists of Taconic Investment Partners LLC, Amerimar Enterprises Inc., Angelo Gordon and Co., and Centrum Properties Inc. They are converting the entire eight-story southern catalog building and the first six floors of the northern catalog building into high-tech telecom space. The upper four floors in the northern catalog building are being coverted to luxury condominiums.
"E-port is the largest, most technologically advanced telecom facility currently under development in the US," says Evan Pariser of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler's New York City office, which arranged non-recourse, floating-rate financing through Credit Suisse First Boston.
