CHICAGO-The 1.5-million-sf e-port high-tech office center is now more than 40% leased with the signing of new tenants Vertis, Inc. and Looking Glass Networks. Also, the owners of the former Montgomery Wards headquarters at 600 W. Chicago Ave. have received $130 million in financing for its $200-million redevelopment of two historic buildings and 23-acre site.

Baltimore-based Vertis, Inc. will occupy 52,000 sf on the sixth floor. West suburban Oak Brook-based Looking Glass Networks has leased 30,000 sf of telecom space.

Ed Barnett of Paine Wetzel of Chicago and Ken Walter of Kennedy-Wilson International in Dallas represented Vertis, Inc. David Stefancic of Equis Corp represented Looking Glass. Brad Despot and Paul Fishbein of Amerimar Enterprises represented ownership.
