Rincon Indians to Kick in $7 Mil for Road Improvements

VALLEY CENTER, CA-The Rincon Band of Mission Indians and the county have reached an agreement to kick in $7 million toward road improvements along Valley Center Road for its casino.

The county Board of Supervisors will consider the agreement on Tuesday. It requires the Rincon band to help pay for road improvements in front of the expanding casino and along Valley Center Road.

According to the county, the expanded casino will increase traffic along Valley Center Road from 4,000 cars a day to about 7,900. The casino will grow from 759 slot machines to 2,000 by May 15, and a 200-room hotel is scheduled for completion by mid-2002.
