Strip Club Appealing Judge's Ruling on First Amendment

ORLANDO-Millionaire property owner and real estate investor Jim Veigle is petitioning the 5th District Court of Appeal. He wants a new trial after a state court threw out a request to have his revoked Casselberry, FL city license restored at Rachel's.

ORLANDO-The flagship property of millionaire real estate investor Jim Veigle’s adult-entertainment businesses is down for the count but not out of the ring, representatives of the controversial owner/operator of several area strip clubs tell GlobeSt.com.

Veigle has instructed his lawyer, Steve Mason, to petition the 5th District Court of Appeal in Daytona Beach, FL today to have his revoked adult-entertainment license restored in suburban Casselberry where his Rachel’s club has been a landmark of sorts for 25 years. Rachel’s operates out of a two-story, 20,000-sf structure in Seminole County, five miles from Downtown Orlando.
