Frist Campus Center houses administrative offices, classrooms and two theaters. According to company president Donald Barr, "every mechanical item in the building was demolished and removed, while new electrical, plumbing, HVAC and A/V systems were installed. We also had to maintain the historical integrity of the building." The building also had to be upgrade to ADA standards.

The 90,000-sf addition provides food service venues and a multipurpose room. The design required a partially underground section that restricted access to the building during the construction period.

Barr & Barr, which dates back to 1927, has been involved with such projects as New York's Time-Life Building and Rockefeller Center's promenade, skating rink and gardens.
