The 128,000-sf office space, at 1000 Wilshire Blvd., was previously occupied by the national accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche. In the last several months that it has been listed on the New York-based listing service Offices2share.com, 20% of the space has been sublet. The listing service brings together companies that are offering short-term office leases with tenants that need short-term, flexible leasing arrangements.

Deloitte's agent, Travers Realty, is confident that the remaining space will be sublet because of the opportunity it provides for small- to mid-sized businesses. "Deloitte chose Offices2share.com because it reaches so many businesses seeking what we're offering: quality office space available in various sizes without a long-term commitment," says Dennis E. Smith of Travers Realty. "We think we're meeting a niche that isn't being met elsewhere," he tells GlobeSt.com.

The available space includes perimeter offices, interior cubicles, conference rooms and kitchen areas on the 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th and 20th floors of the 1000 Wilshire building. The area can be subdivided into spaces as small as 500 sf, providing the flexibility to accommodate medium- and small-sized businesses. "The way we're subleasing the space is different than most people and because of that, we've seen a lot of activity," Smith tells GlobeSt.com.
