The venture is Echelon's second Downtown undertaking in a year. The nearby $16 million, five-story, 303-unit Echelon at Cheney Place is nearing completion with a pre-leasing level of 40%.
Rents at both developments are $700 to $1,900 per month. Atlanta-based Beers Construction Co. is the general contractor on both projects.
Echelon's planned 547 apartments make up a third of the 1,500 units currently under construction or planned for Downtown over the next 24 months, the city's building department tells GlobeSt.com.
