Opposition Mounts to Multifamily Plan

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO-A meeting expected to draw vocal opposition over a new multifamily community near historic Longview Farms is cancelled. AMLI Residential Properties wants more time to present its plans.

Although the developer has said the apartment community would not touch the many historic farm buildings, opponents are concerned about historic preservation, traffic and aesthetics.

The developer, AMLI Residential Properties, has asked for more time before the Lee's Summit city council reviews its application. A new date has yet to be set.
