In the larger deal, a subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co. has signed a 10-year lease to occupy the entire second floor of the two-story facility. The tenant, Honda Trading, will take 10,350 sf, according to the terms of the $2.3 million agreement. A Grubb & Ellis team consisting of Bob O'Neill, Jamie Dietz and Bill Maher represented the tenant. The landlord was represented by Philip Mattice of Colliers Seeley International.

Mattice also represented the landlord in a separate transaction involving A-1 Holidays U.S.A. Inc. The tenant has inked a five-year lease to occupy 3,248 sf in the building. A-1 Holidays was represented by Neil Miyazaki and Junko Masubayashi of Capital Commercial.

The signing of the two new deals has brought the building's occupancy level up to 70%. The 1800 Building is the first property with 100% office space to be constructed in the Downtown Torrance Business District in more than a decade.
