The National Association of Home Builders cited the company's nine-story, 266-unit summit Grandview as one of the country's best mid-rise or high-rise apartment projects.

The apartment level begins above three floors of enclosed parking. The first two levels include 75,000 sf of class A office and retail. The top six levels have apartments ranging from 771-sf one-bedroom plans to 1,860-sf three-bedroom units.

It's the first mid-rise, mixed-use project of its kind in Charlotte, according to Summitwhich owns or holds an ownership interest in 64 communities totaling 18,706 units. The company has 2,471 apartments under construction in seven new communities.
