The structure in this rural community will have 750 slot machines, a 220-seat restaurant and 12 card tables, according to tribal officials.Construction, which began in early February, is about one-third complete, officials say.

The casino will anchor a $30-million project that includes a truck stop, a hotel and an RV park. It's being financed by First Nations Gaming of Louisiana, which is also developing a casino resort on the San Pasqual reservation near Escondido.
