The closing date "is as definite as it can be in real estate," Timm Wooten, Martin Fein's executive vice president, tells GlobeSt.com. "We are prepared." The final signing comes on the day that the option contract expires and about a month after Round Rock had OK'd a zoning approval for La Frontera's second multifamily project, says Wooten. Martin Fein is buying the land from 35/45 Partners LP.

The acreage is located west of the Marriott hotel, which will open May 14, and is located 1at 941 Hester Crossing. The project calls for 366 units of urban-style units that are being designed by RTKL Architects of Dallas. Completion is anticipated for fall 2002.

The project complements Martin Fein's first, as well as La Frontera's, multifamily development, the 411-unit Enclave at La Frontera. That project should be wrapped up by June. La Frontera represents Martin Fein's first location in Central Texas.
