PHOENIX-Although Wells Fargo hasn’t yet moved on development of a one-million-sf campus in Chandler, city officials are confident the project will happen.

Wells Fargo has not yet applied for a zoning change on a 60-acre parcel at the northwest corner of Price and Queen Creek roads, even though two months ago Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny said that an announcement by the banking giant is forthcoming. Wells is in escrow in the parcel, Tibshraeny said.

Wells Fargo has confirmed its interest in building a campus in Chandler, but a company spokesperson says it’s too early in the process to confirm just when the development would move forward.
