Senate Panel Approves $55 Mil for Stadiums

JEFFERSON CITY, MO-The Truman Sports Complex, Kemper Arena and Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City; a new Cardinals stadium and Savvis Center in St. Louis; and a new arena at the University of Missouri in Columbia would get funds.

Monies are earmarked for the Truman Sports Complex, which houses Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium, Kemper Arena and Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City; a new Cardinals stadium and the Savvis Center in St. Louis; and a new basketball arena at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

In Kansas City, estimated allowances were $6.5 million for the Truman Sports Complex, with Kemper and Municipal each receiving about $1.5 million. The bill passed 5-4.
