Republic Mortgage Branches into Commercial Real Estate

WINSTON-SALEM,NC-The locally based firm buys Atlanta-based RealtyLogix Inc. for an undisclosed sum. RealtyLogix is a risk management services company. Winston-Salem is 100 miles northeast of Downtown Charlotte.

WINSTON-SALEM,NC-Locally based Republic Mortgage Insurance Co. is going beyond its core business of private mortgage insurance by venturing into commercial real estate finance with the acquisition of RealtyLogix Inc. of Atlanta. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed in Republic’s prepared statement.

RealtyLogix, a commercial real estate risk management services company, will continue to be based in Atlanta. David Cobb, one of RealtyLogix’s founders, continues as chairman and CEO. Winston-Salem is 100 miles northeast of Downtown Charlotte.
