The chamber has an option to buy a lot that once housed a Dollar Rent-A-Car franchise. But to take full affect of an architect's creation, the chamber needs to acquire at least a piece of a 5,200 square-foot lot owned by the city.
The estimated cost for the building and purchase of the former Dollar Rent A-Car lot is $1.5 million. The chamber is looking at a combination of grants, fund-raising and bank financing. It hopes to receive $500,000 in grants.
