Velocita Communications Takes 10,000 SF at DC Tech Center

WASHINGTON, DC-Velocita Communications has leased 10,000 sf at the Edgewood Technology Center. The lease is the first for the 121,000-sf center since it was purchased last October.

WASHINGTON, DC- Velocita Communications has leased 10,000 sf at Edgewood Technology Center, a 121,000-sf facility located in the Telecom Industrial Corridor at 705-707 Edgewood St. NE. This is the first lease signed at the center since Fowler Flanagan Technology Partners, LLC bought the property in October. Insignia/ESG negotiated the lease.

“This deal is a sign that good things are still happening in the direction of telecom in 2001. Although telecom has slowed down, it is not dead. The Velocita lease demonstrates the viability of the property and will no doubt attract other carriers to Edgewood Technology Center,” says Insignia/ESG’s managing director Richard McBride.
