Dingell, Rothwell Speak at Downriver Summit

DETROIT-The meeting is intended to form partnerships for development and jobs south of Detroit. The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments and Downriver Community Conference are among sponsors.

DETROIT-The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, along with the Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Michigan Community Alliance andDownriver Community Conference, is sponsoring the third annual Downriver Summit on May 14. The summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crystal Gardens in Southgate.

The meeting is designed for community leaders to identify issues of importance and to partner on initiatives to enhance the downriver area. Sessions will focus on infrastructure, economic development, quality of life and workforce development.
