Dingell, Rothwell Speak at Downriver Summit

DETROIT-The meeting is intended to form partnerships for development and jobs south of Detroit. The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments and Downriver Community Conference are among sponsors.

The meeting is designed for community leaders to identify issues of importance and to partner on initiatives to enhance the downriver area. Sessions will focus on infrastructure, economic development, quality of life and workforce development.

Congressman John Dingell and Doug Rothwell, president and CEO of the Michigan Eocnomic Development Corp., will be among the speakers. There is a $15 registration fee. For more information, visit www.downriversummit.org.
