Mountain Tech Center: Built for the Power-Hungry

CLIFTON, NJ–Mountain Technology Center is built for power-hungry tenants, according to Mountain Development president, Michael Allen Seeve. “We have the power now to receive just about any equipment. The building was built with heavy floor loads, high ceilings, close proximity to fiber connections and an interior network of vertical shafts, which allow for almost unlimited secure cabling between floors.” The facility also offers the tenant immediate access to 4.8 to 9.8 megawatts of electricity.

The 211,036-sf building is situated on 5.9 acres and was rehabilitated to accommodate high-tech companies with heavy power needs. Rehabilitation was also geared to employee comfort and amenities. “Modern office facilities must account for and relieve the stresses of the people who work within them,” says Seeve, noting that the center has on-site dining facilities and a health club. The facility also has a back-up generator farm in the basement.
