California Pizza Kitchen has eight other Bay Area locations, including two in San Francisco. All told, the chain operates, licenses or franchises 114 restaurants of which 84 are company owned, and 30 operate under franchise or license agreements. In early trading Tuesday, shares of CPKI were trading at $25.42 a share, a little less than $10 below its 52-week high and a little less than $7 above its 52-week low.
Westfield Shoppingtown Valley Fair opened 60 new stores in mid-March. With over 230 stores now, the center is said to be the largest collection of specialty stores in the South Bay. CPK, Restoration Hardware, J.Crew/J.Crew Kid, Tiffany & Co., and a grand new Food Court with an outdoor patio and indoor fireplace are some of the new stores and amenities. Opening next spring will be a two-story flagship Banana Republic, Christian Dior, Fende and several others.
