When Allied Capital moves to the NYSE, its trading symbol will change from ALLC to ALD. Its CUSIP number, 01903-Q10-8, and transfer agent, American Stock Transfer & Trust Co., will remain the same.

"As Allied Capital has grown and prospered, our fundamentals and trading characteristics have continued to attract both retail and institutional investors," says Allied chairman and CEO Bill Walton. "We believe our move to the NYSE will establish the Allied Capital name more firmly with investors in the United States and abroad."
