The event generates funds for the Atlanta Women's Fund that aids homeless and battered women and children. The 300-member Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta has raised $850,000 to date.

This year's goal is $160,000. "We've raised $125,000 so far," Heidi Kind O'Shea tells GlobeSt.com.

The Coca-Cola Co. is a major sponsor at $25,000. Deloite & Touche and Troutman Sanders each contributed $15,000. Individual tickets are $300. CREW also helped build Delowe Village, which opened in May 2000 to provide shelter to homeless women.

A live auction during the black-tie dinner will sell off a 2001 Lexus RS 300, a round-trip business-class air trip to Paris and two powerbroker teams offering an outing to promote interest in "making a deal" in the Atlanta real estate community.

The groups include Andy Ghertner and Dave Demarest with Cushman and Wakefield, John Shlesinger of Insignia ESG, and Stuart Alston, Bradley Fulkerson and Dave Kilborn of Carter and Associates/ONCOR International.

CREW-Atlanta is a member of the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women with 41 member organizations comprised of more than 4,000 women and men. Sally Tyler French, a member of CREW-Atlanta, is the current NNCREW president.
