At the moment, Oregon Pacific is seeking a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to divert two creeks on the site into underground culverts in preparation for future development of the site. The goal is to be able to react quickly to interested users.
Immediately north of the site, Transwestern West Union LLC is developing the master-planned, 32-acre West Union Business Park. BOC Edwards, a provider of clean room services for high-tech companies, has located at the park, and Acumed Inc recently acquired just over 8 acres there for future development. Also nearby is PacTrust's Five Oaks West Business Park, of which Credence Systems Corp. has acquired just under 30 acres for future expansion, and Intel's undeveloped West Union site.
