GMAC-RFC ranks is the No. 1 ABS home equity loan lender in the US and continues to be the nation's top private mortgage conduit in jumbo, subprime, high loan-to-value and other mortgage-related deals.
The first-quarter results were buoyed by a $1.5-billion subprime mortgage securitization, one of eight deals totaling $3.4 billion in March.
GMAC-RFC is a wholly owned subsidiary of GMAC Financial Services and the US' largest non-agency issuer of mortgage-backed securities.
