Bakery officials have inked a three-year lease for 6406 Burleson Rd., part of the 200,000-sf ProLogis Industrial Park, Rick Migoni of EMC Realty tells GlobeSt.com. Move-in will occur between June 1 and July 1. He says the move brings a consolidation of warehouse locations at the intersection of Howard Lane and Interstate 35 and St. Elmo Road. Under consideration is to bring the Georgetown operation into the Austin fold, according to Migoni.
The 21-year-old, single-story structure also includes 1,900 sf of office space for the bakery, an increase of 900 sf over its existing amount. The site is fetching a per sf rate of 43 cents gross. Mrs. Baird's will be moving in as soon as the existing tenant vacates. Migoni has represented Mrs. Baird's and ProLogis has used in-house broker, Tom Pardee, to negotiate the deal.
In another deal, Migoni has closed a lease for a new business, Health, Body & Mind. The tanning salon equipment supplier is taking 2,000 sf at Anderson Mill Plaza in the city's Far Northwest submarket.
Health, Body & Mind will move in July 1 into space being vacated by the shutdown of Gem's Fabrics, whose owner is retiring. The plaza is located at the intersection of Texas 183 and Ranch Road 620.
