A 15-year retail real estate veteran, Foster joins Kmart from his post as vice president and general manager for Cole National Co., where he was responsible for the startup of Target Optical, including property development, operations, merchandising and marketing. He also held senior-level real estate positions with Biker's Depot, SuperShops and Ride Aid Corp.
Foster received his bachelor's of science degree in accounting from Northern Michigan University and his master's in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
