The retailer's new 35,000-sf of space is inside the La Verne West Center, a shopping complex at the northwest corner of Foothill Boulevard and Wheeler Avenue. The 66,000-sf center was recently purchased by privately held Wohl Investment Co. of Orange County.
Jacksonville, FL-based Stein Mart operates more than 225 stores across the US but has relatively few outlets in California. It was represented in the lease transaction by Chris Auer of Newport Beach-based Strategic Retail Advisors.
Wohl Investment Co. was represented by Phil Berry of Commercial West Brokers, a boutique brokerage firm that also is based in Newport Beach.
