Stephens Inc., based in Little Rock, AR, has been vying for the new office since it launched its Austin office about a month ago in a HQ Global Workplace suite, Jinny Hines, leasing associate for Insignia/ESG in Austin, tells GlobeSt.com. The firm, she says, is in the hiring mode as it awaits its new spot.

Hines, associate Blake Patterson and David Putnam, Insignia's leasing director, have negotiated the five-year lease on behalf of the tenant. John Baird of Lincoln Property Co. has represented the building owner, New York-based Metropolitan Life Insurance, in the deal at the 411,536-sf CBD structure.

Founded in 1933, Stephens has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Baton Rouge, LA, Charlotte, NC, Nashville, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, WA and Fayetteville and Hot Springs, AR as well as London. The full-service investment banker is part of the Stephens Group Inc., which is privately held by the Stephens family. The firm services corporations, state and local governments, financial institutions and private investors in the US and overseas.
