The Dallas office is the 10th in the nation for the 66-year-old architecture and interior design firm. Doug Demers is the office's managing principal and will be overseeing a staff of nearly 45 associates.

Gabriel Barbier-Mueller, Harwood CEO, says it's an honor to have the distinguished firm join the tenant roster in the class-A building. "Harwood has long been dedicated to innovative architecture and the evolution of the workplace into one that is technologically advanced and yet appealing and comfortable for people," he says in welcoming the new tenant.

Perkins & Will's new office is serviced by a private and internal staircase as a connector between the levels. The penthouse boasts a roof garden while the 20th floor features 26-foot ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows for views of the Dallas Skyline and Turtle Creek.

Perkins & Will's new spot is in the Phase IV of Harwood International Center, positioned at 2828 N. Harwood, a 20-story, 220,661-sf structure that delivered in February 2000. Other lead tenants are Centex, IBM Global Services' e-Business Innovation Center and Teknion.

Ric Kanatzar and Perry Wood, both of Julien J. Studley Inc., represented Perkins & Will. and Harwood in-house Jean Farris, vice president and director of leasing, negotiated for the owner.
