State Street Corp. to Lease Entire Tower

BOSTON-State Street Corp. has signed a deal to lease the entire office tower being built here at 1 Lincoln St. near South Station. The 1.1 million-sf tower won't be ready for another two years.

Sources close to the deal confirm for GlobeSt.com that State Street signed the deal with developer Gale & Wentworth. State Street had signed a letter of intent last summer to occupy at least half the building.

State Street currently occupies 3.5 million sf in the Greater Boston area including 365,000 sf at International Place skyscraper, 500,000 sf in at Lafayette Corporate Center in Downtown Crossing and its headquarters at 255 Franklin St.
