The company's most recent assignments include four from by Chicago-based Fifield Cos.' three mixed-use office and residential buildings on Monroe, Clinton and Adams streets in the West Loop and the 170-unit Admiral's Pointe condominium project in River North. Baum Realty Group will manage retail leasing assignments produced by Cushman & Wakefield's Midwest offices in Chicago, northwest suburban Rosemont, Detroit Minneapolis and St. Louis. In addition to its office at 1030 W. Chicago Ave., Baum Realty Group also will join Cushman & Wakefield in space in the NBC Tower.
"We are in the process of making our retail brokerage operations as powerful as our office and industrial brokerage business," says Cushman & Wakefield President of US Operations Bruce E. Mosler.
Brothers David and Douglas Baum formed the company in 1991. Allen Joffe joined as a partner in 1993. "We've had a number of firms approach us about forming an alliance or merging and none has impressed us like Cushman & Wakefield," says David L. Baum. "We've worked with C&W brokers on a variety of successful transactions in the past and have been struck by how similar our approaches are to transaction management and client service."
