Casino Revenue Falls From Near-Record Levels

DENVER-Casinos report adjusted gross proceeds of $48.7 million, down $3.7 million from March, the second-best month on record. The 20 casinos in Black Hawk account for 70% of the total from 44 gaming venues in three towns.

However, March was the second-best month on record, only bested by the $60 million recorded last July.

The 20 casinos in Black Hawk, a mountain town west of Golden, generated $38.2 million, or 70% of the total. Cripple Creek's 19 casinos reported $10.9 million, and Central City's five casinos reported $5.3 million.
