The Wilshire Landmark II development stands at 11766 Wilshire Blvd. The insurance and financial-services giant plans to move in next month, leaving its longtime home in West LA's Trident Center.
The Wilshire Landmark space was previously occupied by Context Integration, an Internet-related company. Context Integration had hoped to find a subtenant itself but Met Life opted to do a direct deal with landlord Douglas Emmett Co. and the lease with Context Integration was terminated, a broker involved in the deal says.
Marty Barkan and Serge Vishmid of Grubb & Ellis' West Los Angelesoffice and Mike Hobbs of the firm's Corporate Services Group represented Met Life in the transaction. Santa Monica-based Douglas Emmett represented itself.
David Walsh of locally based Stone Co. represented Context Integration in its lease termination.
