The sale from parent company Safeway, Inc. to the Oak Brook-based REIT was closed by Trammell Crow Co. The price of nearly 450,000 sf of property was not disclosed.
"These buildings are solid assets in a stable West Cook County industrial real estate market and bring CenterPoint's Northlake campus portfolio to 2.4 million sf," says senior vice president John L. Henning.
Both buildings are on 36.7 acres located near the interchange of Interstate 294 and North Avenue. The former Dominick's headquarters has 284,142 sf, a quarter of it office space, along with 12 interior loading docks. The 164,313-sf industrial building offers mezzanine office space.
Vice president Thomas G. Barbera and assistant vice president Jason M. West also brokered the sale.
