The company is keeping a second Valwood location at West Crosby Drive, Jeff Price, associated with Grubb & Ellis' Dallas office, tells GlobeSt.com. The 2205 Hutton Dr. warehouse is replacing a showroom at Dallas' World Trade Center. Price says the relocation has been initiated to put the showroom operation closer to the manufacturing site for Springhill mattresses, which has been a Dallas manufacturer for at least three decades. "They just wanted to be closer to their Crosby location," he says. The two warehouse sites are situated about 1 1/2 miles apart. The Valwood Hutton Drive warehouse is now fully leased.
Price has represented the tenant in the contract negotiations. The owner of record is the Acquiport DFWIP Inc., an entity of Chicago-based RREEF, and one of several building owners in the massive Valwood Industrial Park. The building owner has used in-house broker Craig Golthardt.
