DETROIT-Sinai Grace Hospital will open a new open-heart surgery area this year, when it expects to post a profit after losing more than $100 million in recent years. Financial troubles had suspended procedures.
After posting $100 million in losses over 1998 and 1999, down to approximately $8 million in losses in 2000, the DMC is expecting to post a profit this year, said officials with the partnership.
