Accepting the award for Starwood was F. Daniel Gibson, senior vice president of corporate affairs, while co-founders Rusty Warren and Anthony DiTommaso took home the prize for Ivy Equities. A rather recent entrant into the commercial ownership sector in Westchester, Ivy Equities owns 2975 Westchester Ave. in Purchase, 411 Theodore Fremd Ave. in Rye as well as the Crosswest Office Center at 399 Knollwood Road and 244 Westchester Ave., both located here.

Starwood, which has approximately 725 hotel and leisure properties in 80 countries and more than 120,000 employees, is in the midst of consolidating its corporate headquarters in Westchester from space at 777 Westchester Ave., and 44 South Broadway to 1111 Westchester Ave., part of the Nine West complex.

BOMA Westchester also handed out a Distinguished Service Award to Ellen Lynch, senior vice president of Albert B. Ashforth Inc. In addition, BOMA presented Office Building of the Year awards in five categories.In the Under 100,000 SF category, 456 Columbus Ave. at Sutton Park in Valhalla, a building owned and managed by Louis Dreyfus Property Group was the winner. In the 100,000-249,999 SF category, Mack-Cali Realty's 565 Taxter Rd. in Elmsford came in first. The firm acquired the 170,500-sf property last year.
