Royal Wine Corp.'s workforce varies seasonally, peaking out at about 150 during the Passover season. The package that it got to relocate to Bayonne included a $250,000 low-interest loan through the Bayonne EDC. The State of New Jersey provided $8.1 million in loan-interest loans, and offered a grant of $600,000.

The company produces and distributes a variety of kosher products, notably Kedem wines. Other products from Royal Wine include Baron Herzog, Teal Lake and Weinstock wines, Old Williamsburg bourbon, Hamashkeh Scotch whiskey and a variety of food products.

"We've never had a grand opening like this before," enthused the company's president, David Herzog, at the event. He offered kudos to the city for its participation in getting the deal done.
